Warehouse Associate

Our client, a logistics operations is seeking a Shipping & Receiving worker to  join their team. As a Shipping & Receiving associate you will be part of the warehouse and distribution team supporting daily freight movement. The ideal candidate will have strong reliability, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving - Warehouse Associate 

Location: North Haven, CT

Pay Range: $18

Shift: 2 shifts available

• 1st Shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm - 5 days a week (including weekends)
• 2nd Shift: 6:00pm to 12:30am - 5-6 days a week (you can choose)

What's the Job?

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching orders
• Read shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
• Ensure the warehouse remains accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic
• Complete tasks in a safe manner by following all safety policies and procedures

What's Needed?

• Experience scanning and sorting items, unloading 18-wheelers, and helping load sprinter vans
• Ability to use handheld scanners and complete tasks accurately
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds and load/unload trucks
