Our client, a transportation and logistics organization, is seeking a Billing Clerk to join their team. As a Billing Clerk, you will be part of the Billing/Accounts Receivable function supporting day-to-day customer billing accuracy and service. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and clear communication abilities that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Billing Clerk

Location: Gainesville, GA

Pay Range: $19.00/hourly

Shift: M-F 8-5

What's the Job?

  • Review and analyze carrier freight bills to identify and resolve potential errors and duplicate billing issues.
  • Communicate with internal and external sources to resolve open tasks while maintaining quality and service levels for clients.
  • Ensure billing issues are addressed immediately and that the appropriate parties are informed for proper resolution.
  • Support customer satisfaction by driving quality processes with internal and external teams.
  • Facilitate and improve the efficiency of the billing cycle time from carrier freight bill to client payment by continuously seeking process improvements.

What's Needed?

  • 1 year of experience in audit, accounts receivable, accounts payable, load planning, or transportation/logistics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to investigate billing discrepancies and drive resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data.
  • Ability to develop a working understanding of internal technologies required for daily billing functions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
