Our client, a leading organization in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a dedicated Credit Clerk to join their team. As a Credit Clerk, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Collections and Accounts Receivable teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Credit Clerk

Location: Vernon, CA

Pay Rate: $24/hr

Shift: 1st Shift

What's the Job?

  • Contact delinquent accounts to request payment and document all communication in the contact center system.
  • Maintain professional and courteous relationships with a diverse range of customers and team members.
  • Schedule effective reminders for payment deadlines based on customer agreements and collection patterns.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding outstanding balances, invoices, and account information.
  • Research account disputes and billing discrepancies, ensuring accurate resolution and documentation.

What's Needed?

  • Polite, friendly demeanor with the ability to handle difficult conversations diplomatically.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Oracle platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and follow up effectively.
