Customer Service Representative

Our client, Distribution Customer Care Services (DCCS) is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be part of the Distribution Customer Care Services (DCCS) team supporting internal branch customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve order-related issues quickly—which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Newport News, VA

Pay Range: $20.00

Shift: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET (hybrid: in-office Tuesday–Thursday; remote Monday & Friday; schedule may adjust to support business needs)

What's the Job?

• Respond to branch inquiries through ServiceNow and other communication channels.
• Research and resolve order, shipment, delivery, and inventory issues with accuracy and urgency.
• Coordinate with distribution centers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments to drive timely resolution.
• Process order cancellations, shipping updates, address changes, and freight reconsignments.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of customer interactions, findings, and resolutions while meeting productivity, quality, and SLA expectations.

What's Needed?

• 2+ years of customer service experience, order management, logistics support, supply chain operations, or distribution environment experience.
• Preference for internal customer support or email-based support.
• 1–2 years of Microsoft Office proficiency, with Outlook, Teams, and Excel required.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Excel assessment required with submission), including the ability to work with reports and spreadsheets, sort/filter large data sets, and identify discrepancies.
• 1–2 years of supply chain, logistics, distribution, transportation, warehouse, or order management experience, with an understanding of order flow, vendor relationships, inventory movement, and fulfillment processes.
