Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Production Planner to join their team. As a Production Planner, you will be an integral part of the Operations Department supporting production scheduling and planning activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Production Planner

Location: Lockport, NY

Pay Range: $32- $43hr depending on experience

Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm with some overtime

What's the Job?

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the final approval process for products throughout the production cycle.
  • Coordinate production plans according to established schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate and implement engineering change orders within production processes.
  • Work collaboratively with process engineers and test engineering teams to optimize manufacturing workflows.
  • Analyze long lead-time parts and collaborate with purchasing to develop customized supply solutions.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing.
  • MUST have SAP experience for consideration
  • Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing demands and requirements.
  • Excellent judgment and initiative, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of SAP or Material Requirements Planning (MRP), planning functions, and shop floor processes.
  • Minimum of three to five years of production planning or material management experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ideally with PCBA/SMT experience.
