Warehouse Associate

Our client, a leading transportation and logistics provider, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the operations support team, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of freight. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Location: Union City, CA (94587)

Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Saturday: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (5 days per week required; Sundays + 1 other day off per week)

What's the Job?

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute orders to sales associates for processing
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or shipped
• Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and customers
• Complete work safely, adhering to all safety policies and procedures

What's Needed?

• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
• Experience in dock or warehouse operations in the transportation industry is preferred
