Our client, a leader in energy technology and advanced power generation manufacturing, is seeking a 3D Metrology Engineer to join their team. As a 3D Metrology Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering department supporting the Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Inspection teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and excellent organizational skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer III
Location: Greenville, SC
Pay Range: $54/hour
What’s the Job?
- Generate, maintain, and verify Blue Light inspection programs using ZEISS INSPECT 3D software.
- Provide daily shop-floor support for 3D scanning, program execution, troubleshooting, and inspection data review.
- Provide 3D analysis support to Manufacturing Engineering and train operators on new or updated processes.
- Develop workstation instructions, methods, and supporting documentation for 3D scanning processes.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Inspection teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What’s Needed?
- Minimum 3 years of ZEISS INSPECT/GOM software experience with 3D inspection and analysis.
- Minimum 3 years of dimensional inspection experience with a bachelor's/associate degree or machinist apprenticeship, OR 6 years with a high school diploma/GED.
- Strong proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, model-based definitions, and GD&T requirements in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
- Experience with 3D scanning equipment, dimensional inspection, metrology, and inspection data analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment and provide occasional off-shift or swing-shift support.
