Our client, a leading organization in building operations and maintenance, is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Support Department supporting the maintenance and safety of the property. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician
Location:Irving, TX
Pay Range: $27/hr
Shift: 9 am to 6 pm
What's the Job?
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC systems
- Clean, lubricate, and service a variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices
- Support installation and modification of building equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance
- Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and perform painting tasks on walls, piping, floors, and equipment
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety, malfunctions, and preventative maintenance needs, responding promptly to emergency situations
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 2 years of related experience in a commercial property setting
- Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or related fields
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; commercial license may be required
- Basic proficiency with technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems
