CAE Engineer

Our client, a leading innovator in vehicle integration and engineering, is seeking a CAE Engineer to join their team. As a CAE Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Integration Attributes Department supporting the Strength and Durability team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a rigorous approach to engineering problems, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CAE Engineer - Strength and Durability

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $70-$75/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Analyze strength and fatigue performance of mechanical systems from component to full vehicle level under static and dynamic loading.
• Develop feasible structural solutions meeting real-world strength and durability requirements.
• Develop and improve working methods within the CAE team and across vehicle engineering disciplines.
• Report and communicate results effectively during cross-functional reviews and team meetings.
• Champion structural solutions that support Strength and Durability attribute performance, coordinating with other attributes for optimal overall vehicle performance.

What's Needed?

• Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or motorsport engineering.
• Proven experience in delivering real-world structural performance development using simulation, testing, and first-principle methods.
• Routine use of simple and advanced hand calculations for concept and detail studies.
• Expertise in Implicit FE solvers such as Optistruct, Nastran, or Abaqus.
• Experience with fatigue calculations using SN and EN methods (Ncode or other tools).
