Construction & Safety Manager

Our client, a leading Life Sciences and Semiconductor R&D organization, is seeking a Construction & Safety Manager to join their team. As a Construction & Safety Manager, you will be part of the Project Management department supporting construction, EHS, and contractor teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and critical-thinking ability which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Construction & Safety Manager
Location: San Jose, CA (100% on-site)
Pay Range: $96/hr

What’s the Job?

• Oversee construction sites, contractors, and workers ensuring safety and quality compliance
• Coordinate with EHS and project teams to drive a zero-incident safety culture
• Manage daily construction activities, schedules, and contractor performance
• Lead safety investigations, corrective actions, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, permits, and quality standards

What’s Needed?

• 8–10+ years of construction management experience (California experience required)
• Experience with commercial construction, cleanrooms, and/or semiconductor environments
• OSHA 30 certification (required) + First Aid/CPR
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and construction standards (ASME, ACI)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
