Controls Engineer SCADA

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing and industrial automation company, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Automation, Controls, and Manufacturing Operations Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Warren, Michigan
Pay Range: $45 - $50 H/r

What's the Job?

• Design, program, and troubleshoot Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC-based control systems.
• Develop, maintain, and support SCADA applications, with a preference for Ignition SCADA.
• Implement automation solutions following GM GCCS and FACS controls standards.
• Configure and support Beckhoff automation systems and EtherCAT networks.
• Support commissioning, controls migrations, troubleshooting, and system optimization activities.

What's Needed?

• Strong hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000.
• Experience working within GM Controls Standards (GCCS/FACS).
• Knowledge of Ignition SCADA development, configuration, and support.
• Experience with Beckhoff controls and EtherCAT communications.
• Background in industrial automation, manufacturing processes, and controls troubleshooting.
