Our client, a global energy technology company, is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team. As a Data Scientist, you will be part of the HDPE Operations & Strategy team supporting Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and Digital teams. The ideal candidate will have analytical thinking, technical curiosity and strong collaboration skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data & Analytics (D&A) Developer II / Data Scientist
Location: Greenville, SC
Pay Range: $52./hr
What’s the Job?
- Analyze large structured and unstructured datasets from enterprise systems to identify patterns, anomalies, data-quality issues, and actionable business insights.
- Develop and validate machine learning, forecasting, predictive, and scenario-planning models to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain Python-based data pipelines for ETL, model training, automated forecasting, and analytical workflows.
- Perform scenario and variance analysis to compare planning assumptions against actual project execution, identifying gaps, root causes, and trends.
- Partner with Data Engineers, Program Managers, Operations, and business stakeholders to translate business challenges into scalable data science and AI/ML solutions.
What’s Needed?
- Strong Python experience for data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, SciPy, or similar libraries.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, data manipulation, data flows, and business logic.
- Hands-on experience developing and evaluating machine learning, forecasting, predictive, or scenario-planning models.
- Experience working with large enterprise datasets, including data exploration, cleaning, integration, anomaly detection, and statistical analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable business insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
