Our client, a leading global technology company supporting mission-critical data center construction projects, is seeking a Document Controller to join their team. As a Document Controller, you will be part of the Construction Project Team supporting Construction Managers, Project Engineers, General Contractors, subcontractors, design consultants, commissioning teams, vendors, and Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Document Controller  - Data Center Construction
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range: $64.71 - $69.71/hour

 

What's the Job?

  • Maintain organized and traceable project records, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, reports, permits, closeout records, and turnover documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Administer and track technical submittals, shop drawings, product data, samples, RFIs, revisions, approvals, and outstanding actions.
  • Develop and maintain turnover and closeout documentation trackers while identifying documentation gaps and turnover risks.
  • Review, validate, and manage O&M manuals, as-built drawings, commissioning records, warranties, training records, and other turnover-critical documentation.
  • Perform quality-control reviews to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, properly classified, audit-ready, and compliant with project requirements.


What's Needed?

  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Document Control and Electronic Document Management Systems such as Procore, ProjectSight, SharePoint, or Common Data Environments (CDEs).
  • 3+ years of experience managing turnover packages, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, commissioning records, warranties, training documentation, and closeout deliverables.
  • 3+ years of experience working with construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, document registers, and project trackers.
  • Strong Excel and document tracking capabilities with experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interpret construction specifications, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, identify documentation gaps, and maintain revision/version control.
