Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in electric motors and electromechanical assemblies, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Engineering Technician to join their team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Support Department, collaborating closely with Design Engineers, Production, and Quality teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will enable you to thrive and contribute meaningfully within the organization.
Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Fenton, Missouri
Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000
What's the Job?
- Assist with assembly, modification, and evaluation of prototype units to support product development.
- Provide valuable feedback to engineering teams regarding manufacturability, assembly methods, and production challenges.
- Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and work instructions to ensure precise execution.
- Support the creation, updating, and maintenance of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Assist with electric motor testing, including performance, heat run, qualification, and validation testing, while documenting results for review.
What's Needed?
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, maintenance, or a technical environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems is preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
