Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution facility, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - Plumbing to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic - Plumbing, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance team supporting Building Operations and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a team-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: New Albany, OH (Onsite)
Pay Range: $32-$35/hour
Contract type: Contract to hire (3 months with potential extention)
What’s the Job?
- Perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, pumps, valves, and piping.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace plumbing components and related mechanical equipment.
- Support building systems including HVAC, compressors, utility piping, and other facility infrastructure.
- Respond to service requests, alarms, and emergency maintenance situations.
- Complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance documentation using a CMMS.
What’s Needed?
- 3-5 years of commercial or industrial building maintenance experience with a strong plumbing background.
- Experience troubleshooting plumbing systems, pumps, valves, piping, and water systems.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
