Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Fuel Systems Design Release Engineer to join their team. As a Fuel Systems Design Release Engineer, you will be part of the Product Engineering organization supporting Fuel Systems, Vehicle Program, Manufacturing, Validation, and Quality teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, cross-functional collaboration skills, and problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $47/hour
What’s the Job?
- Design, develop, and support the production release of automotive fuel system components, including fuel/urea tanks and fuel/urea delivery modules.
- Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and support product validation throughout the development and release process.
- Work directly with suppliers, vehicle program teams, testing and prototype labs, CAE engineers, manufacturing plants, and quality organizations.
- Drive quality improvements, issue resolution, value optimization, weight reduction, and other product efficiency initiatives.
- Communicate technical product status to management and ensure components meet engineering, validation, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
What’s Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within automotive product or component engineering.
- Experience as a Design Release Engineer, Product Engineer, or Component Engineer with responsibility for component ownership/release rather than primarily CAD-focused work.
- Experience with automotive fuel systems, preferably fuel tanks, Fuel Delivery Modules (FDMs), fuel pumps, or Urea/DEF tank systems.
- Understanding of APQP and experience supporting product validation activities; DVP&R, DFMEA, GD&T, NX, Teamcenter, and molding experience are preferred.
