Mobile Maintenance Mechanic

As a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll be the hands-on problem solver keeping institutional facilities safe, functional, and presentable across your assigned territory. You’ll travel between multiple sites, respond to work orders with a strong service mindset, and use your technical skills to support day-to-day operations and community activities. Job Title:Mobile Maintenance Mechanic

Location:Santa Rosa, CA (preferred). Travel required to Eureka, Crescent City, and Fort Bragg. Monthly overnight travel (at least 2 days per month).

Pay Range: $26 to $29 per hour

What's the Job?

• Perform minor plumbing repairs including leak resolution, fixture maintenance, and clearing clogs to keep water systems operating properly.
• Complete electrical repairs such as replacing switches, outlets, and receptacles, and maintain lighting systems by replacing bulbs, ballasts, and fixtures.
• Handle carpentry tasks including door adjustments, hardware installation, cabinetry repairs, wall patching, and interior/exterior painting as needed.
• Support basic HVAC troubleshooting activities such as thermostat adjustments, filter replacements, and resolving simple temperature or airflow issues as directed.
• Process and complete work orders through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), meeting service level agreements and response time expectations.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience in commercial or institutional facilities.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems, with HVAC knowledge as required by client scope.
• Proficiency using computerized work order systems (CMMS) and basic tablet or mobile device applications.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and ability to drive company vehicles safely, including long-distance travel within the designated portfolio.
• Ability to lift at least 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, and perform frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting; strong safety habits and communication skills in English.
