PCB Layout Engineer

Our client, Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a PCB Layout to join their team. As a PCB Layout, you will be part of the Engineering team supporting cross-functional design efforts across PCB layout, verification, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong drive for quality, the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines, and the discipline to stay on top of tasks and deliverables—so you can make a meaningful impact from schematic to fabrication-ready outputs.

Pay Range:$100000 - $142000

What's the Job?

• Design and redesign printed circuit boards from schematics and design requirements using Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Designer, and Design Capture software.
• Create PCB fabrication and assembly documentation, including drawings, Gerber files, and internal verification materials.
• Collaborate with Designers, Mechanical Engineers, and Electrical Engineers to implement design changes and keep documentation aligned.
• Modify drawings to meet engineering requirements and initiate engineering change orders (ECOs) as needed.
• Serve as an expert in PCB design and engineering processes, including mentoring one or more PCB Designers and improving team procedures.

What's Needed?

• Associates degree or bachelor’s degree in Electronics or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience with a PCB design software package (Mentor Graphics Xpedition schematic and PCB Design software Release VX.2.0 and later preferred).
• Familiarity with IPC specifications and terminology related to printed circuit board manufacturing.
• Experience with rigid, rigid flex, and flexible PCB designs using multilayer and HDI technologies.
• Experience with PLM and ERP systems, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
