Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in plant operations and engineering solutions, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Savannah Plant Management supporting the engineering and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Pay Range: $50-60/hr
What's the Job?
- Lead and execute capital projects including modifications, improvements, and new equipment installations throughout their lifecycle.
- Define, design, and manage project installations by preparing detailed scopes, cost estimates, and justifications for capital expenditure.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing current technologies and recommending process or equipment modifications.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for design, engineering, coordination, commissioning, and startup activities for projects and plant initiatives.
- Manage internal maintenance teams and external contractors during project execution while supporting new product and system development.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical) required.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or related industries, with a focus on project management and engineering.
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
- Proficiency in computer software and G Suite tools.
- Knowledge of OSHA, environmental compliance, and safety standards.
