Project Manager Electric System Modeling 

Our client, Energy & Utilities Analytics is seeking a Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager, you will be part of the Policy Analysis and Research department supporting the Energy Infrastructure Development Plan (EIDP) initiative. 

Job Title: Project Manager Electric System Modeling 

Location: 100% Remote 

Pay Range: $55-$62/HR 

What's the Job?

• Manage a team of consultants to develop a nodal production cost model for NYS, ensuring timelines, budgets, and high-quality deliverables.
• Work with consultants to accurately represent NY market operations within the production cost model.
• Help implement a process for translating zonal capacity expansion results into the nodal production cost model.
• Engage with stakeholders (e.g., utilities and sister agencies) to socialize tools, processes, and results.
• Support execution of the Energy Infrastructure Development Plan and other electric system modeling needs, including ongoing modeling requests and policy exploration related to the electric system.

What's Needed?

• 3-6 years of experience in electric system modeling, including capacity expansion and production cost modeling.
• Ability to develop inputs needed to simulate NY electric markets (e.g., infrastructure representation and resource operating profiles).
• Understanding of energy markets concepts and the NY energy system, stakeholders, and policy environment.
• Excellent project management experience with strong analytic attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate modeling results to the public and key stakeholders at agencies, utilities, and interest groups.
