Quality Engineer

Our client, an industrial manufacturing organization, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality team supporting manufacturing operations and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to drive continuous improvement through data and structured root cause analysis, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Sussex, WI

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000

What's the Job?

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of industrial control panel assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.
• Maintain and strengthen quality systems aligned with ISO 9001 and company quality management requirements, including procedures, work instructions, inspection standards, and control plans.
• Monitor assembly processes to verify compliance with engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and customer specifications.
• Lead corrective action and continuous improvement efforts by investigating defects, customer complaints, returns, warranty claims, and field failures.
• Support product and process validation activities, including NPI, engineering change management, APQP, PFMEA, control plan development, and first article approval.

What's Needed?

• Associate Degree (or higher) with related technical focus; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–7 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience supporting ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience with electrical control panel assembly, wire harness assembly, industrial automation equipment, or electro-mechanical manufacturing preferred.
• Strong technical capability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics, apply quality tools, and perform root cause analysis using structured methods such as 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and DMAIC.
• Working knowledge of quality and validation frameworks such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, measurement systems/calibration practices, and quality KPI reporting (e.g., FPY, DPM, scrap, rework, COPQ).
