Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and industrial sector, is seeking a Safety Manager to join their team. As a Safety Manager, you will be part of the safety and compliance department supporting site operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to safety management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Safety Manager

Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia

 

What's the Job?

  • Ensure site compliance with all government-regulated safety and security requirements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site safety policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Coordinate and conduct regulatory training sessions and maintain safety records
  • Lead incident investigations and analyze site safety performance metrics
  • Act as a liaison with government agencies, emergency responders, and community partners

What's Needed?

  • University degree or equivalent technical training in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Recognized CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation or enrolled in a safety program leading to this certification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with industrial safety practices such as lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazard assessments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with computer applications
