Our client, a consumer goods company, is seeking a Pilot Plant Operations Scientist to join their team. As a Pilot Plant Operations Scientist, you will be part of the Oral Care MPD organization supporting scientists and technicians involved in product development programs. The ideal candidate will have strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Plant Operations Scientist
Location: Mason, OH
Pay Range: $63.20/hr

 

What’s the Job?

  • Execute dentifrice batch-making activities to support Oral Care MPD pilot plant operations.
  • Coordinate raw material readiness and preparation for manufacturing activities.
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation and manage production records.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues while supporting product development programs.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met while working closely with scientists and technicians.


What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Several years of hands-on experience gained in academic or industrial settings.
  • Experience in one or more areas such as analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, molecular biology/gene engineering, methods validation, pharmacology, NDA, quality assurance, quality control, report writing, or calculations.
  • Strong scientific/engineering skills with foundational R&D understanding developed through hands-on experimentation and application.
  • Ability to solve significant technical problems, influence technical project direction, and work effectively in a fast-paced R&D manufacturing environment.
