🚀 PLC Controls Engineer II | Mason, OH

Our client, a leading aerospace and defense technology organization, is seeking a PLC Controls Engineer II  to join their team. You will be part of the Engineering Department supporting commissioning, testing, and implementation teams for automated material handling systems. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to learn and adapt in dynamic environments, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: PLC Controls Engineer II
Location: Mason, OH
Pay Range: 45.00 -$50.00/hour

What’s the Job?

• Assist with PLC programming, HMI development, and commissioning of automated material handling systems.
• Support project scope, schedules, deliverables, and testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams, customers, and external partners to ensure successful system implementation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including QA/QC documentation and test plans.
• Participate in system testing (BUAT/UAT/FAT), troubleshooting, customer training, and post-installation support.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Up to 4 years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or material handling systems.
• Experience with or exposure to Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI platforms such as Wonderware Aveva Edge or similar.
• Knowledge of industrial automation tools, networking protocols, and commissioning practices.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 85-90%) and work flexible hours based on project needs.
