US - Sr Electrical Engineer

Our client, Honeywell Aerospace, is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team. As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Aerospace Engineering Department supporting the Electrical Design, Analysis, and Advanced Aviation Systems Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent analytical problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineer
Location: Torrance CA
Pay Range: $85/hr (commensurate with experience)

What's the Job?

• Lead electrical system and circuit design activities for advanced aerospace, electric aircraft, and eVTOL programs.
• Perform requirements review, power analysis, filter analysis, and electrical analysis activities.
• Design schematics, EMI filters, DO-160 lightning protection solutions, and Printed Board Assemblies (PBAs).
• Develop and present Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Mentor and train junior engineers on analysis techniques, troubleshooting, and engineering best practices.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience; 12+ years preferred with circuit design, integration, and testing.
• Experience using DOORS NG, ELM, electrical analysis tools, and schematic design software.
• Knowledge of EMI filter design, DO-160 lightning design, power electronics, and aerospace electrical systems.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (U.S. Person) required for export compliance.
