Our client, a leading autonomous vehicle company, is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join their engineering-focused operations team. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a critical role in configuring, maintaining, and diagnosing fleet vehicles to ensure readiness for safe onroad usage. This position blends handson technical execution with collaboration across engineering and operations, supporting both lab and field environments. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, and the ability to thrive in fastpaced, dynamic settings while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
 
Job Title: Vehicle Technician
Location: Atlanta, GA
Pay Rate: $40/hour
 
What’s the Job?
  • Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe onroad usage.
  • Travel locally as needed to perform vehicle readiness and maintenance work.
  • Sync with the Shop Foreman to ensure all vehicles are in a “ready” state for demonstrations and testing.
  • Perform diagnostics and escalate issues to the appropriate engineering team when required.
  • Maintain service records, document quality field reports, and assist with parts inventory and shop organization.
 
What’s Needed?
  • Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of technician experience in automotive or related fields.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and current forklift operator certification compliant with Cal/OSHA standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently, multitask, and collaborate as a team player.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit or stand for extended periods depending on equipment type.
