Our client is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join their team in Chester, VA. As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will support small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems by delivering preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The ideal candidate will bring a highly professional attitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to communicate straightforward information clearly—skills that will help you succeed in a team environment with independent work.
Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician
Location: Chester, VA
Pay Range: $31.48/hr.
What's the Job?
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and complete repairs.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Review assigned work orders in a work order management system and coordinate to track completion.
- Support energy management by helping ensure building systems operate efficiently and safely.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-7 years of job-related experience.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset to identify issues and follow procedures.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information clearly and professionally.
