Our client, a technology-driven organization, is seeking a Database Engineer to join their team. As a Database Engineer, you will design, build, and operate scalable, secure data stores that power applications and analytics. You’ll partner closely with application and data teams to shape schemas, tune performance, and automate operations using AWS and infrastructure-as-code. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to improve reliability, reduce cost, and accelerate delivery from development through production.

Pay Range: $75-$80/hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Design and develop efficient, scalable database solutions aligned to business requirements.
- Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tooling.
- Monitor performance and optimize queries, indexes, and schemas for reliability and speed.
- Implement and maintain database security controls to protect sensitive data.
- Troubleshoot incidents and provide timely resolution across environments.
What's Needed?
- Strong understanding of AWS and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for database resources.
- Proven experience as a Database Engineer/DBA.
- Deep knowledge of DBMSs such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and Redshift.
- Proficiency in SQL and query optimization, including schema design and data modeling principles.
- Understanding of backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures, plus database security best practices.
