Engineering Technician

Our client, a leader in autonomous mobility, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be part of the SW HIL team supporting the build, maintenance, and troubleshooting of simulation test assets. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent documentation habits, and the motivation to help ensure test infrastructure operates predictably at all times, aligning successfully in the organization.

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Pay Range: $48/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Support and track configurations of test platforms to keep systems aligned and ready for validation work
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair test hardware to restore reliable operation quickly
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues across test assets and supporting systems
• Build and repair harnesses based on electrical diagrams, ensuring correct wiring and safe, repeatable setups
• Assemble, install, and configure computers and install vehicle system components into server racks, including networking infrastructure buildout

What's Needed?

• Knowledge of automotive CAN bus networks
• Experience using Linux and running scripts
• Working knowledge of Google Suite, JIRA, and Confluence
• Proficiency using a digital multimeter and oscilloscope
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, with strong organizational and documentation skills
