Facilities Manager - Level 1

Our client, a leading commercial real estate services company, is seeking a Facilities Manager to join their team. As a Facilities Manager, you will be part of the Facilities Operations team supporting maintenance staff, vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proactive problem-solving mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Manager
Location: Burr Ridge, IL
Pay Range: $40 - $47/hr

What's the Job?

• Provide formal supervision to employees, including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Schedule and manage daily team activities, assign work orders, establish priorities, track deadlines, and cross-train staff to support operational needs.
• Coordinate facility repairs, preventative maintenance, vendors, contractors, and capital improvement projects while ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships, conduct facility inspections, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage environmental health and safety programs.
• Prepare and manage operating budgets, variance reports, procurement activities, vendor contracts, invoicing, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years of facilities management, building operations, maintenance supervision, or related leadership experience.
• Valid driver's license required; Facility Management Certification (FMA/FMP/CFM) preferred.
• Experience with staffing, recruiting, employee development, coaching, performance management, and retention programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations, resolve issues, and drive team performance.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, budgeting, and financial skills with the ability to perform advanced mathematical and operational calculations.
