HVAC Engineer - Level 1

Our client, CBRE, a global leader in commercial real estate and facilities management, is seeking an HVAC Engineer - L1 Mobile to join their team. As an HVAC Engineer - L1 Mobile, you will be part of the Engineering & Technical Services Team, supporting healthcare facilities and ensuring critical building systems operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have strong HVAC troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently in a mobile environment.

Job Title: HVAC Engineer - L1 Mobile
Location: Dallas, TX (Mobile Route Position)

What's the Job?

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, structural, life safety, and control systems.
• Service dialysis clinics throughout the Dallas area, traveling approximately 30-40 miles per day.
• Review and execute assigned work orders using pre-planned daily routes.
• Conduct HVAC maintenance including inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, filter changes, and system performance checks.
• Perform general building maintenance to support overall facility operations.
• Inspect building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Support emergency repairs and maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed to complete work orders.
• Utilize company-issued technology to document maintenance activities and complete work orders.
• Operate company vehicles safely while visiting multiple client locations.
• Provide professional customer service while interacting with clinic staff, patients, and facility stakeholders.

What's Needed?

• 1-2+ years of HVAC experience in commercial and/or residential environments.
• Universal EPA 608 Certification (required).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience performing HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
• General building maintenance experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical maintenance activities including climbing ladders, walking, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Rooftop Unit (RTU) experience.
• Basic plumbing experience.
• Previous experience in a mobile technician or route-based maintenance role.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
