Our client, a leader in scientific research and laboratory operations, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the research support department supporting scientific research projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:$22.50

What's the Job?

  • Assist technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine tasks to support scientific research.
  • Perform laboratory procedures such as plant sampling, DNA extraction, and high-throughput PCR.
  • Manage laboratory inventory samples and maintain accurate documentation of results.
  • Work in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings to support research activities.
  • Follow safety protocols and environmental health standards to ensure a safe working environment.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, or related fields) is strongly preferred; candidates working toward a degree with relevant experience will be considered.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience working in a research laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR.
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and use of appropriate PPE.
