Our client, an engineering-focused organization, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the engineering organization supporting mechanical design and development initiatives. What's the Job?

  • Lead mechanical engineering activities from concept through detailed design, ensuring designs meet technical requirements and project goals.
  • Own engineering deliverables such as calculations, drawings, specifications, and documentation, coordinating updates as requirements evolve.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, support design reviews, and drive solutions that improve performance and manufacturability.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members by reviewing work, mentoring on best practices, and helping maintain engineering standards.
  • Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting efforts by analyzing results, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.

What's Needed?

  • Experience leading mechanical engineering work, including design, analysis, and documentation for engineered systems or components.
  • Strong proficiency with mechanical design tools and engineering documentation practices used to produce accurate, build-ready outputs.
  • Ability to interpret requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and manage design changes responsibly.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders and clearly present technical findings.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
