Mobile HVAC Technician

Our client, Facilities/Building Engineering is seeking a Mobile HVAC Technician to join their team. As a Mobile HVAC Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance team supporting day-to-day building operations across assigned locations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently while staying responsive to on-call needs—aligning successfully in a fast-paced, multi-trade environment.

Job Title:Mobile HVAC Technician

Location:Columbus, OH and surrounding area (mobile position)

Pay Range: $34 to $36 per hour depending on experience

What's the Job?

• Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment to support efficient, safe facility performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair response work orders across installed systems and equipment, reducing downtime through anticipation of needed repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment on HVAC/R systems with a strong focus on maintaining reliable operations.
• Complete interior and exterior facility inspections and repairs, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, and related components.
• Use CMMS tools (such as Corrigo) to update work order status in real time, submit P-card receipts daily, and maintain accurate records of work performed.

What's Needed?

• Universal CFC recovery certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with strong HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical maintenance/repair knowledge.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license and availability for call-in work as required.
