Quality Engineer, Prototyping

Our client, a leader in manufacturing and prototyping, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer, Prototyping to join their dynamic team. As a Quality Engineer, Prototyping, you will be an integral part of the Manufacturing Operations supporting various functional groups. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a passion for quality assurance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Engineer, Prototyping

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $73/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Review Jira tickets to ensure accurate data quality and traceability
• Create balloon drawings and inspection report templates for quality inspections
• Review inspection documents and manage the approval process efficiently
• Follow the nonconformance process when issues are identified to ensure swift resolution
• Maintain dashboards and generate weekly reports to monitor inspection progress

What's Needed?

• BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• 4 to 6 years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of Quality Management standards and practices, with APQP experience as a bonus
• Understanding of GD&T principles and inspection processes
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
