Senior Project Engineer

Our client, Industrial Gases (IG) North America is seeking a C-Project Engineer to join their team. As a C-Project Engineer, you will support capital projects, strategic planning, turnaround planning, and turnaround execution through the Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) Group. If you’re energized by complex engineering work, clear safety leadership, and delivering projects that meet customer operability needs, this role is built for you. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and planning skills, strong leadership abilities, and a high ethical standard that puts worker safety and regulatory compliance first.

What's the Job?

• Lead assigned capital projects, including standalone projects and projects executed within plant outages, while managing engineering, design, and construction resources.
• Develop estimates, funding documents, schedules, and ongoing forecasts for plant-executed projects within SAP.
• Ensure all projects receive adequate process hazard reviews and ORIs, and that recommendations are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure inherent process safety is adhered to on all project designs.
• Provide field supervision/support during project execution, including managing project safety and maintaining projects on budget and schedule.

What's Needed?

• Technical degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering (required).
• Manufacturing plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects experience.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work without close supervision.
• Strong leadership abilities and credibility to influence engineering and manufacturing managers in decision-making.
• Ability to obtain required site access and certifications, including TWIC (current and valid) and completion of refinery background checks; ability to achieve state-mandated certifications (TWIC, OSHA, etc.) and other requirements as needed.
