Shipping and Receiving Manager

Our client, food manufacturing is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Manager to join their team. As a Shipping and Receiving Manager, you will be part of the Shipping and Receiving department supporting the production teams on the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to stay organized under pressure, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:$100000 - $110000

What's the Job?

• Provide overall leadership for the shipping and receiving department, focusing on Personal Safety, FSQA, Productivity, Cost, and Engagement of team members.
• Plan and achieve daily labor utilization and efficiency through crewing and task assignment.
• Maintain daily and accurate inventory levels, including receipt documentation, COA compliance, temperature verification upon receipt and shipping, and FIFO execution for raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure shipments are complete, error-free, and damage-free, while maintaining accurate scanner usage and product inventory location.
• Coordinate current and projected fresh and frozen raw material needs with procurement, manage off-site inventory accuracy and FIFO rotation, and conduct documentation audits for completeness and accuracy.

What's Needed?

• 7-10 years’ experience in shipping and receiving management, with strong knowledge of food manufacturing and food safety practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
• Leads with trust and integrity; effective listener and team player with the ability to build accountability and ownership.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with SAP and Microsoft Office; knowledge of FDA/USDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations is desired.
