Test Engineer - Baseline

Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Test Engineer to join their team. As a Test Engineer, you will be part of the Product Software QA Team supporting vehicle testing and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $37/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Develop, maintain, and expand automation test cases using Playwright to improve regression testing coverage.
• Perform manual testing for Baseline features, releases, hotfixes, and pre-merge validations to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Conduct vehicle mission testing, evaluate workflows from an operations perspective, and generate detailed reports on mission outcomes.
• Support vehicle troubleshooting workflows, identify, reproduce, and verify defects across development, staging, and production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA leads, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and feature validation.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a QA/Test Engineer with proven skills in testing complex applications.
• Strong experience with testing and tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
• Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and communication protocols including UDS, CAN, and Ethernet.
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle systems, including LiDAR, radar, cameras, and EV powertrain components.
