Our client, Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing is seeking a Buyer to join their team. As a Buyer, you will be part of the Purchasing/Procurement team supporting day-to-day sourcing, RFQ execution, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, a high attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly across internal teams and suppliers, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Cerritos, CA

Pay Rate Range: $20-$25/hr. 

Shift: 8am - 5pm

What's the Job?

  • Manage supplier forecast using qualitative and quantitative methods to support customer service and inventory management objectives.
  • Execute RFQs for new projects and perform purchasing tasks that support core activities and KPI goals.
  • Track forecast, evaluate risks and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes.
  • Assist with selecting, ordering, and coordinating materials or services for production based on engineering and specifications, while improving pricing, quality, service, delivery performance, and lead times.
  • Complete daily purchasing system processes (commodity/buyer codes, exception messages, and order acknowledgments), including returns to suppliers (RMA’s), resolving items within 24–48 hours.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, or a related field; 0–2 years of related experience is common for entry-level Buyer I roles.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail; proficiency with office software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ERP/MRP and computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, responsive environment; knowledge of SAP is preferred.
