Placement & Career Services Developer – Help Agricultural Workers Throughout Maine

Pay Rate: $17–$21/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday (some weekend & evening flexibility needed)
Assignment Length: Temp-to-hire

We’re hiring a Placement & Career Services Developer for our client, a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting agricultural workers and their families across Maine. This is an immediate opening offering $17–$21/hr DOE and is temp-to-hire pathway with long-term potential.

This is a high-impact, community-facing role where you’ll spend your time in the field - connecting with individuals, employers, and organizations - rather than sitting at a desk. If you’re passionate about helping others and thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment, this role offers a unique chance to make a difference while growing your career.

Typical daily duties:

  • Conduct outreach, recruitment, and job development to connect participants with training and employment opportunities
  • Maintain accurate participant records and develop individualized employment and training plans
  • Build relationships with community partners, employers, and agencies to support program goals
  • Attend community events, job fairs, and site visits to engage potential participants
  • Participate in case management meetings and provide updates on participant progress

What we’re looking for:

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of experience in job training, placement services, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (company vehicle typically provided; occasional use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a passion for helping others
  • Goal-oriented, resilient, and comfortable working independently in the community
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to present to groups and engage diverse audiences
