Culinary Services Assistant

Our client, a prominent educational institution, is seeking a Culinary Services Assistant to join their team. As a Culinary Services Assistant, you will be part of the Culinary Services Department supporting Cafeteria and Catering operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Culinary Services Assistant

Location: Centralia, IL

Pay Range:  $20.38 /hour

Shift: 6 a.m. - 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week

What's the Job?

• Perform a variety of tasks related to Cafeteria and Catering operations, including cooking, serving, cleaning, and dishwashing
• Assist with planning and executing Cafeteria and Catering events as needed
• Operate cash registers and handle cash register operations during assigned shifts
• Support inventory management, ordering, and restocking activities
• Ensure quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained in all aspects of food service

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Food Sanitation License or willingness to obtain one
• Current food allergen certificate
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions and recipes
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service focus
