Inside Research Worker

Manpower is hiring a Research Assistant worker for a top employer in Johnston, in their Greenhouse facility. Do you enjoy working with power tools, hand tools and cleaning equipment? Do you enjoy working in a strong safety culture? If so, don’t wait, apply today! 

What’s in it for you? 

• Convenience of daytime hours: 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday with rotating weekend work every 6th week.  

• Working in a research environment in a greenhouse. 

• Great pay - $21.50 and weekly play checks.  

• Bonus Structure: $500 paid after 6 months, $1,000 paid after 12 months. 

What is the job? 

• Seeding, pollinating, transplanting and watering plants. 

• Harvesting, tissue sampling, and data collection. 

• Punch or cut and store small samples of plant tissue and delivery for laboratory analysis. 

• Assisting with experiments, collecting data, and maintaining records. 

• Working in a greenhouse/warehouse environment where it is warm. 

What should you bring to the job? 

• High School Diploma. Science degree preferred  or related experience in agriculture, horticulture molecular biology, etc. 

• MS Office skills 

• Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30lbs. 

• Ability to meet pre-employment requirements.
