Location: Hercules, CA (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $66.30/hour
Employment Type: Temporary (12-Month Assignment)
Schedule: Part-Time, 26-30 hours per week; Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Thursday, flexible based on business needs

The position contributes directly to the successful advancement of key research projects and ensures the continued support of products used by students and educators nationwide.

What You'll Do

• Design, plan, execute, and troubleshoot laboratory experiments that support product development initiatives
• Analyze experimental data and identify solutions to technical challenges
• Document laboratory work, methodologies, and results in lab notebooks with accuracy and attention to detail
• Collaborate with R&D and Marketing teams to share project updates, discuss findings, and recommend next steps
• Support the development and launch of educational biotechnology products and reagent kits
• Maintain and sustain existing product lines through scientific investigation and problem-solving
• Apply creative and innovative thinking to overcome technical obstacles and improve processes

What We're Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume
• Master’s degree or PhD in a Life Science discipline such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Molecular Biology
• Experience with molecular biology techniques, including DNA extraction, PCR, DNA and protein electrophoresis, plasmid cloning, and sequence analysis
• Experience with microbiology techniques, including bacterial culturing and sterile laboratory practices
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to meet compliance requirements
