Location: Winfield, IL
Pay Rate: $16.20–18.00/hour
Schedule: M–F, 4am–12:30pm with rotating Saturdays
Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway to hire

Why This Role Matters
Specimen Technicians play a critical role in ensuring samples are processed accurately and efficiently, directly impacting diagnostic quality and patient care outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Perform specimen processing tasks such as presort, A-station, centrifugation, aliquoting, and imaging
• Accurately enter specimen data (target ~6,000 keystrokes/hour)
• Prepare, label, and route specimens to appropriate lab departments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant biohazard work environment
• Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members across departments
• Adapt to changing daily priorities in a production-driven environment

What We’re Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM–12:30 PM with rotating Saturdays, plus flexibility for overtime/holidays
• Comfortable working in a biohazard environment and standing/sitting for extended periods
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with medical terminology or lab environments is a plus
• Previous specimen processing, lab, or production experience preferred
• Ability to meet compliance requirements including immunizations
