Location: Batesville, AR

Pay Rate: $16.20 - $18.00/hour

Employment Type: Contingent

Schedule: Evening Shift | 2:30 PM – 9:30 PM (Additional availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime may be required based on staffing needs)

As a Specimen Technician, you will play a critical role in the specimen processing workflow that supports laboratory testing and quality patient care. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction by ensuring specimens are accurately processed and prepared for testing in a timely manner.

What You'll Do

• Perform general specimen processing functions including accessioning, pre-sort, centrifugation, aliquoting, imaging, and specimen preparation
• Enter and verify patient and specimen information with a high degree of accuracy
• Transport processed specimens to laboratory areas for testing
• Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced production environment
• Follow all safety, compliance, and specimen handling procedures in a biohazard environment
• Keep work areas organized, clean, and compliant with company standards
• Communicate effectively with team members and laboratory staff
• Adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and customer requirements as needed

What We're Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong data entry skills with the ability to enter up to 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Previous laboratory, hospital laboratory, or specimen processing experience preferred but not required
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
• Experience in a production-focused environment preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a biohazard environment while following safety procedures
• Ability to meet compliance requirements
