Our client, a prominent educational institution specializing in business education, is seeking a Facilities Assistant II to join their team. As a Facilities Assistant II, you will be part of the Facilities Management Department supporting the maintenance and safety of the university's campus facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Facilities Assistant II
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Pay Range: $20.00/hr.
Shift: Schedule will vary
What's the Job?
- Assist with activities supporting the upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of university facilities, including interior, exterior, rental, and hotel properties.
- Support office relocations, furniture moves, and setup to ensure smooth transitions and functional spaces.
- Manage and track repair tickets across multiple platforms, assisting with minor repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Perform tasks requiring specialty mechanical equipment such as ladders, lifts, and power washers to maintain facility standards.
- Conduct regular building walk-throughs to identify and address maintenance or safety issues proactively.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum one year of customer service experience.
- Minimum one year working in a team environment.
- Minimum one year working in a maintenance-related role.
- Ability to work on-call hours, including one weekend day and non-traditional hours.
