Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, Industrial is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Operations department supporting manufacturing and production teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a hands-on troubleshooting mindset, and the drive to deliver high-quality preventative maintenance that keeps equipment running reliably.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Vernon Hills, IL

Pay Range: $26.00-$32.00

Shift: 8:00am-4:00PM

What's the Job?

• Inspect, repair, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to keep it in excellent operating condition and under the safest possible conditions.
• Perform structural work to change facilities or equipment to support manufacturing requirements.
• Follow manufacturer manuals, instructions, and diagrams to diagnose and resolve routine equipment problems while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Disassemble, inspect, evaluate, reassemble, and test manufacturing/maintenance equipment that is not performing as intended.
• Support continuous improvement by communicating with production, documenting changes, and participating in required meetings and training, including heavy involvement in 5S activities.

What's Needed?

• 5 years’ experience in general maintenance.
• Ability to read and speak English to understand and participate in safety, hazard communication, company meetings, and continuous training.
• Basic computer skills, including composing and sending emails and managing your inbox.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including lifting and moving up to fifty pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics, prioritize jobs, and use power equipment effectively.
