Our client, Located in Vernon Hills IL. is seeking a Maintenance mechanic I to join their team. 

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic I
DEPARTMENT: Operations
LOCATION: Vernon Hills, IL
HOURS: 8:00am-4:00PM
HOURLY RATE: $26.00-$32.00

JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic l will inspect, repair, or find manufacturing equipment for repair to ensure it is in good standing order. The focus of the Maintenance Mechanic is to ensure that all Safety Standards and processes are used and are consistent with established goals for quality, preventative maintenance, and safety to the up most satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Perform all necessary repair actions to ensure all equipment is kept in the best operating condition possible and under the safest conditions possible.
 Perform structural work to change facilities or equipment to enable manufacturing requirements to be conducted.
 Follow manufacturer’s instructions, manuals, and diagrams to diagnose and troubleshoot routine equipment problems keeping quality and safety standards.
 Disassemble, inspect, evaluate, reassemble, and check out any manufacturing or maintenance equipment that does not run or perform its intended function.
 Communicate with production to help build what is needed per job, recognize opportunities to streamline the process etc.,

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
5 years’ experience in general maintenance
Read and speak English to understand and take part in safety, hazard communication, company meetings, and continuous training.
Ability to use and understand basic computer skills. This includes composing and sending e mails as well as managing your inbox.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.
Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
Power equipment, prioritize jobs.
Maintain Spare parts room organization and cleaning.
