Our client, a leading organization in the scientific and research industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Laboratory Support Department supporting laboratory operations and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Pay Range: $35-$40/hr

Shift: M-F (07:00-15:30)

What's the Job?

  • Perform proactive and detailed maintenance across various trades including plumbing, electrical, and general building upkeep.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and inspect laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Maintain laboratory utilities such as compressed air, water systems, natural gas, oxygen, and nitrogen systems.
  • Support installation, relocation, and seismic bracing of laboratory and process equipment, ensuring safety and compliance.

What's Needed?

  • Proactive individual with skills in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance trades.
  • Experience working with meters such as multimeters, gas meters, and airflow meters.
  • Ability to operate moving equipment including powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks, and hydraulic dollies.
  • Strong record-keeping skills using Excel or similar tools.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, alternative shifts, and be on call for after-hours support.
