Maintenance Technician

Our client, a growing mobile home community is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance and facilities support function, helping keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on problem-solving, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently while supporting the team’s needs.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Newport News, VA

Pay Range: $20.00

Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break.

What's the Job?

• Perform maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Support landscaping and general construction needs to maintain clean, functional outdoor and indoor spaces.
• Complete cleaning and general upkeep duties to ensure facilities remain presentable and operational.
• Assist with trash pickup and removal as part of routine site maintenance.
• Follow established procedures and safety practices while completing maintenance assignments Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (including a 30-minute lunch break).

What's Needed?

• Experience or demonstrated skills in one or more maintenance areas, including painting, plumbing, electrical work, landscaping, cleaning, or general construction.
• Ability to handle maintenance tasks with care, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
• Willingness to support a variety of maintenance needs, including trash pickup and removal.
• Reliability and readiness to work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Required: At least 1 years of property maintenance, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, or general construction experience with demonstrated skills in painting, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting.
